Matt Ryan (Fitness Director)
Matt began his fitness journey at 19 years old as he fell in love with the sport of bodybuilding. While a full-time college schedule and part-time work made things more complicated, he remained dedicated to his training routine and nutrition regimen. Less than one year after he started bodybuilding, Matt competed in his first-ever bodybuilding competition and placed first in several divisions. Matt knew he wanted to make fitness a permanent part of his life and future career.
After graduating from college in Vermont, Matt moved to Texas, where he would spend a semester studying Nutrition Science at Texas State University. During his time studying at Texas State, he felt ready to take his love and passion for fitness to the next level and started Heavy Mettle Fitness in the spring of 2019. Matt began training with clients as he felt inspired to help others find their passion for fitness and healthy living, much like he had years before. Matt has worked with hundreds of clients as a personal trainer and has helped people achieve stunning physique and lifestyle transformations.

Adrien
Maggione (Trainer)
Adrien began his career in the fitness industry by studying at Endeavour College in Sydney, Australia, where he received several training certifications. He would move to Austin in 2016, at which time he pursued several training certifications through NASM. Adrien is dedicated to his personal fitness regimen, which centers around corrective exercise, interval training, and strength training. Adrien applies and integrates these principles into his clients’ personal training programs, which leaves his clients feeling rejuvenated and accomplished after each session.
Adrien’s goal is to help his clients feel better about their health, improve postural and muscular imbalances, educate them, and provide the tools necessary to sustain results in the long term. Erin is an Austin native and has been a personal trainer for over 10 years. Fitness has been a lifelong passion of hers, rooted in her early days as a competitive gymnast. Erin's coaching career began as a sports and conditioning coach at a Division III college, where she trained athletes to perform at their peak. Since then, her focus has expanded to helping individuals of all ages and fitness levels achieve their strength training goals.
As a trainer, Erin aims to empower every client by strengthening their body, mind, and spirit through fitness. Growing up in California and Utah, Kevin was always very active and enjoyed a variety of outdoor sports. Upon graduating from college, Kevin felt dissatisfied with his health and fitness and decided to commit to a serious strength training program. It didn’t take long for him to fall in love with all things health and fitness, and strength training remains a staple in his weekly routine.
Kevin has competed in bodybuilding competitions and even turned his passion into his career by becoming a certified personal trainer. Inspired to help others feel confident, strong, and healthy, Kevin works diligently to help his clients achieve their fitness and weight loss goals.

Fitness has always been a part of Steven's life. From a young age, he's been involved in athletics, from soccer to martial arts. In high school, he was even captain of his varsity soccer team, and he won a state championship in his division for USA Wrestling.
Outside of his athletic accomplishments, Steven graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2021 with a degree in kinesiology, studying the body, sports, and exercise science. After graduation, Steven became a certified personal trainer to help others achieve their strength and fitness goals. Helping his clients look and feel their best through strength training inspires him to be the best coach he can be.
